“ I desire to serve God with all my heart. I love the fact that God purposes to use us individually to accomplish His will in this world. He created us individually, and gives us specific tasks to accomplish. My desire and goal is to help Millry Baptist Church accomplish the purposes God has desired for us. Together in purpose, may God be glorified in our ministries.”

Cindy Toomey

Worship Leader

Cindy Toomey is the “Lead Worshipper” at MBC, although her official title is Worship Leader.  From an early age, Cindy felt a calling to serve in full-time ministry. It was not until her greatest assignment of raising a family was complete, that God opened that door.

Cindy is originally from Citronelle, Alabama. She attended the University of South Alabama, majoring in voice, and then went on to begin her career in the business world. Throughout her business career, she worked in customer service/accounting and supervisory positions.

In 1989, Cindy and her husband Michael were married and she became a proud citizen of Washington County.  She quickly grew to love Millry, especially the people.

“Leading God’s people to His throne corporately each week is an amazing privilege, as well as a responsibility, ”Cindy states, “but our worship is not just a once a week musical experience.  Worship is a way of life!”

Michael and Cindy have 3 amazing daughters, 2 wonderful sons-in-law, 5 perfect grandchildren and a very spoiled Shih-Tzu named Judah.
